I just watched episode 15 of The Clone Wars "Bounty Hunters"... In this episode there is a bountyhunter that got the same gun as boba in ROTJ (the EE-3).. Well, at least I think they look exactly the same.

But heres the thing... You never see boba use his EE-3 in ROTJ... so you don't know wich collor his guns laser got... but in this episode you actuly can see the EE-3 in action. But when I saw that the EE-3s laser was blue, I got a little but confused

First I was like, wow.. blue... strange ? :S (I allways thought the laser was red seens the comic books with boba and the fan films and the games) And in an other shot, she actuly fires red laser?

Question 1. Is it possible for a SW weapon to fire lasers with diffrent collors, or is it just an edit mistake?
Question 2. Do you think it's the same modle as bobas?

It was deliberately made to be an EE-3. They even mention it at the bottom of the episode guide.

I thought that it was cool that it fired blue lasers. I wonder if blasters can have different firing settings that would alter its laser color.

I noticed the same thing. The blaster is absolutely the same, even down to the T strips and stock greebles.
I wonder if they plan on tying this little tidbit into the whole "return of Boba Fett" plot line:confused?

Well... in a new hope when the stormtroopers stunning leia, they change the E-11 for stunn. So maybe there is diffrent alternatives on the SW guns..
The EE-3 maybe can't be set for stunn, but maybe it got some other funktion with blue laser...

I found myself wondering about something similar while watching TCW. Not in regards to the EE-3 blaster fire, but the Republic Star Destroyers. Episode IV-VI have red blaster fire, while Clone Wars shows it as blue. Even the clone blaster rifles fire blue beams. Stormtroopers fire red.

I think it's just a way for them to show the good guys from the bad guys

On to practical reasons for color change from ep IV-VI and ep I-III, red is army tracer rounds filmed on a firing range and edited into the movie, blue is cgi.
At least that is what i remember reading way back when they were discussing the fx of starwars.

OKeej... let's put it this way then... It's possible that the EE-3 got a stun setting... but why did she use that on the pirates :S Dosn't make any sence to me...

And, yes, the clones fire blue and stormtroopers fire red.. but they don't got the same blasters either...

I am pretty sure I give her the same nonplused look when she talks shoes or accounting. She sounds an aweful lot like Charlie Brown's teacher.

I would agree that the "blue" is more for 'stun' or 'disable', as in ESB the Ion Cannon is shoots a blue laser to disable the SD. Red is more for 'kill'. Course they could just be playing with the colors for fun and not really care about continuity.

Corect me if I'm wrong... but the Ion canon that the rebels use in ESb got red laser fire. At lest from the original clips. or am I wrong?

After just watched the trailer for TCW season 5 I saw that the EE-3 will apear again ;D
Same blue laser, this time agains Maul and Savage, are they trying to stun them ? don't think so
(dengar had blue laser to, but is fireing red in an other episode) ?
I think this is an intresting discution even if it's an old one. Any more thought would be cool to hear specialy since this is the only time except in ESB that you see Bobas rifle in action : D

This is what I feel is most likely from a kids show perspective. Same as with the lightsabers, blue/green for good guys, red for bad guys.
