Started my Custom Mando...need advise

Whats the best way to add Battle Damage and wear to the helmet....I painted mine up last night and then when the paint was tacky to a ruler to it to take chunks of paint off...is there any other ways that work well?

Yes, the best way is the masking method using a layered painting technique. Go to the link below, you'll have to register but it's a very in-depth tutorial that I wrote up on painting and weathering a helmet which can also be applied to armor.

I basically painted the helmet the base color and took a ruler and scrapped at it to make it look like authentic scratches
