So the Celebration Europe is Over and i can let the Cat out of the Bag.

The idea came when we noted that some befriended Groups started Their projects for SWTOR based costume.
Like a Full Havoc-Squad and Sith Acolytes from the Trailers. So - why not make something mandalorian either?
We made a little Squad of mandalorian Armor based on SWTOR
Especialy these guys
The Reason why we choosed this Armor particulary had the reason to get recognized for empire and republic gamers aswell. You cant play the game 10 minutes without stepping over one of those Blue T-visored Dudes. No matter if he is just a NPC, a Questgiver or an enemy Mob. A random bounty hunter squad would be too much.
Also - Bioware/EA still does not make this Armor wearable for players... so thats why!
As Material there were no other choice then aluminum so we had to dismantle the whole thing.
to make it possible to assemble the set without the use of a weldingtorch
(sketches by Tomoe Harada)
For the Source and References we took the lowpoly ingame modell aswell as the Shae Vizla statue, Actionfigure and Renders from the Trailer cause her armor has the same 3D modell ingame - so infact we made just a lesser detailed shae vizla to avoid the comic-style proportions of the game engine
next step Papermodel
We hade several Vode on this project with diffrent sizes (ranging form 165-190cm) instead of one size that fits all - we just scaled several sizes to fit everyone (thats the luxus whe using cutted plates instead of resin form casting). The Idea was that everyone just get the lasercutted Metalplates and form them on his/her own.
Next Step: lasercutting!
Next Step
Assembling the Parts one-by-one

Shoulders
Knees
Cod and Butt Armor
Tighs
Backplate
Chestpiece
Heels
Shins
The full assambled Chest Armor
Feetplates
Handplates
Ok Testfitting Time
Time to Paint
Done
For the Jetpack:
the same like the Armor.
analise the model, make a papermodel and metalize it ^^
The Belt was made out of 3mm thick real Leather that got tinted black and blue
The buckle is out of aluminum paltes of course - tucked together with some reused military issue beltclips
For the Helmet:
Making it out of Metal was then too big because of the round shapes. No one did the helmet so far so o chooesd to make it myself.
I never casted a helmet and i'm sort of heavy handed so that was the first time i tried to put in some details.
After making 3 molds ( the first 2 sucked and made wobbly casts) i think i learned enough ^^ The Bad think is. I used my head as areference for the Model so it is very very small inside. Mostly because the Form of the Modell is intended to be tighter at the Helmet openingfor this bole shape.
But hey, atleast i can now cast helmets on my own.
