General Shoulder bell attachment?

Hi all,

I'm trying to attach on my shoulder bells with the magnets I've used for the rest of the armour and it seems to not be strong enough to get through my quilting on the shoulders. How do people attach on the shoulder pieces?

I used two grommets in each side, attached tw nylon bolts to each shoulder, slipped them through the grommets, and put a washer and nut over each bolt. Voila. Grommet sets run about 5 or 6 bucks at Lowes and are SUPER easy to install. Comes with a little tool to punch out the holes and close the grommets. Let me know if you need a pic hope this helps,

I used heavy duty snaps.

While I used grommets/chicago screws for the rest of the armor, the snaps were a good idea so I could quickly take off the shoulders and fold in the vest for storage.

I had a look on their website - Bostitch metal grommets? Are these the things? If you epoxy a bolt on the back with it not dig into your shoulder?

Heavy duty velcro works fine for me.

I went with a combination of strong magnets and velcro - hopefully they will stay on. Now to paint them!

I used snaps from Michaels. Epoxied on the shoulders, and attached to the vest like a rivet. Seems to work well since they have not fallen off during my putting on and taking off the vest a bunch of times, and not in a gentle way.

I used snaps, great for storage purposes and they're not coming off easily.

Yeah it's a lot of work with the grommets, but very very secure.
