ROTJ helmet errors on my first real attempt.

Wicked Fett

Jr Hunter
Hi all,
I’m a novice here when it comes to painting an ROTJ and using this site so please forgive me if this ends up in the wrong place.

My Dilemma is the original is just too big for my body (head to body ratio)
So I turned to STL 3D print file
IMG_5197.jpeg
but I could only find one the FPH3.
I needed to reduce the size to 96% and the stencils here to 94%.
Which made it very difficult to copy the details.

And I unfortunately missed the Lark grey layer which is terribly annoying as I thought that it came out pretty well.

Well I think so.
Any tips on the stencil process and tools used would be helpful as I’m going to attempt two more with Archive X paints.

I hope you like it

Do you know the direction of the 3d print file for the helmet above?
I love the shape :)
Same here I have been looking for a file that comes close. I had to change the depth as I felt the side view didn’t look quite right.

Yeah it’s MinuteFetts FPH3 which I do believe is from a mold of one of the buckets used.

How true this is I have no idea.
He’s on Etsy

I used Motip spray putty for the print lines.
Makes it easy and saves your hands.
The stuff’s amazing and ready in 2hrs.

You’ll thank me later lol
