20140322_172332.jpg Finally had time to trim and assemble some shin tools. Still have to paint.
20140315_172716.jpgAlso, I had a minor accident with my jetpack..
20140315_172847.jpg20140315_172733.jpgIt kind of was a "happy" accident, since I have always wanted an excuse to re-make the bottom of the pack.
20140315_172824.jpg20140322_172401.jpg Just needs a final sand, and some paint!

That is a bummer about your jetpack. Are you going to try & blend the paint in or sand it down & repaint the whole thing. Well it is warming up & you can get to painting here soon.

Yeah my pack got knocked over and took a 3 foot fall. I think I am going to repaint the whole pack. Might be a while though, it is 20 degrees and supposed to snow tomorrow :(

Yeah I had my pack on a table on a guitar stand and it got knocked over. But it have me an excuse to fix some areas that have always bugged me...

20140315_172847.jpg20140330_125414.jpgbottom.jpg Soooo... after re-making the "vent" at the bottom of the pack and placing it, i realized that i placed the vent too close to the front of the pack. Here is mine next to an original pack, to show the new location.
20140330_125444.jpg20140330_125455.jpg I also re-made the vent, again, for a third time. This time I included the "Circle" layer, that i forgot every other time!

Build a Jetpack is great, nice work bro, keep like that......build a costume and parts is the best experience................

Had a day of really nice weather this weekend and I squeezed in a couple hours of painting!
Started with some Shin tool painting. I still need to add lots of weathering...

I have been working on my pack as well, and decided for now i will just blend the new paint in..

I also added the 3-pin connector on the bottom of the pack.

Lance you did a nice job of blending the paint. Looking good. Are you using airbrush or spray cans? I understand not wanting to repaint the whole pack this is alot of extra work.

Thanks Chris, I wish I had an airbrush! For now this is all krylon spray paint, Bauhaus yellow if I am not mistaken. It literally went from 76 degrees to 25 degrees in two days so my window if painting was very small!

I know all too well about that window. We had the same thing it was in the seventies over the weekend & snowing on Monday this week. Had a couple of little items to paint so did it with a door cracked in the basement for some fresh air.

seamless finish , like nothing ever happened to it
Thanks! I wasn't sure how well it work, but I think it turned out pretty good..

Hopefully it will be nice again on Sunday! All i need to do is paint (every part) and I will be "done"! :) Getting tired of staring at all my un-painted parts..
