ROTJ Boba Fett Build Thread - the journey begins ....

MojoTurbo you can also put the battery pouch in your left hip pouch that goes on your belt. Per the CRL, it is acceptable to have a silver wrapped cable run from your left chest piece to either your left belt pouch or left thigh pouch. It's technically part of the Level 2 requirements, but should be OK for Basic (someone else can tell me I'm wrong here).

CRL quote on the chest armor
  • Functional or non-functional wiring, wrapped in silver duct tape is seen exiting from behind the left chest piece and terminating...
    • Straight down under the left side of the abdominal armor around the back, above the ammo belt.
    • Straight down under the left side of the abdominal armor, behind the girth, ammo belt and cod piece, into the left thigh pocket.
    • From the outer edge of the left chest piece, down and into the left hip pouch.

THANKS! I need to start my cape

What do you think? Should I put more paint on my gun? What should I change?

Ok, so I think my cape is finished

what nexrt? Just punch a hole in it to attach it? What about a button hole? Something reniforced?

I would not want the hole to open wider and stretch over time?

thoughts?

Man that sleeve bulge is ugly !!!! How does Boba Fett move around in this armor? It's not very friendly to easy and natural movement.

First off, HUGE THANKS to Irongladiator for being my "boba buddy" I feel like everybody needs one in this crazy process, he has been there through thick and thin, he's been my YODA and my Obi Wan through all of this. I could not have done it without him.

I am 90% done.

Still no shoes, after $600 and 3 pairs I am going with comfort over "looks" this halloween and I am wearing these.

No toe spikes as I am not going to waste em on boots I wont keep. So looks like my goal of 501st aproval by Halloween isn't going to happen.

::: dreams shattered ::::

(i'm joking)

Biggest acomplishment, all the velcro is on - holes are drilled and padding is in the pockets

I got this in my pockets, for a less SQUARE look - more organic look

I noticed on my dive belt I have these long straps that hang down fro my arm pits. I think I am going to add velcro to them and turn it into an extra belt that goes across my chest. Maybe I can use it in the future to hold a speaker

Only thing left to do is put a hole in my cape for the BOLT to hold it on

and learn how to tie the girth belt

(Or in reality my wife has to learn how to tie the girth belt)

It's gotta be easier than learnig how to tie the sash on Jack Sparrow

Oh yea ... that's me also.

Do they allow Pirates in the 501st?

I could say I am one of Hando's guys?

Would you be able to PM me their direct contact information? Assuming they are ok with it.
Here is the thread from 2007 when they were purchased

It's been a pleasure in assisting you where I can with the knowledge that I've acquired. Well all need a 'Boba Buddy(s)' as we work though our builds. I had a few myself as I grew up here too. Lazerjock ShortFuse Boochman BudaFett Krewkid82 (to name a few). It's been great watching your youtube videos you publish and watching the vision come to fruition.

Seems like you're in the final stretch now. Keep up the great work!
(y)
