ROTJ Boba Fett Build Thread - the journey begins ....

The bounty hunters guild is very picky, probably more picky than TDH, but it is not required to get their approval prior to joining the 501st. If you apply to 501st as a bounty hunter character then they recommend that you join the bounty hunters guild by default and make a build thread. Maybe it is just my garrison, but they didn't refer to the BHG at all when reviewing my application.

Honestly as far as the gauntlets go - it is really dependent on who the GML's are. Mine were pretty relaxed, they did ask me to change a few things but nothing unreasonable.

Don't you apply to the 501st mother ship directly? Sorry for all the questions. But there is a link on the 501st website that says "apply"

New weathering jobs - criticism welcome

No, you apply through the specific garrison assigned to your area. The application link on the 501st will help you find the garrison though if you don't already have their url.

I am not an expert with ROTJ Boba, but that weathering is looking good!

Groomet method is the best, but placing your armor properly is the hardest aspect. If you decide to make sure you've figured a way to properly place the holes and screws on the armor so they line up and fit correctly.

Thanks, but that was resolved a while ago - see my get up on page 9

David: I've had my Fett since the late 1990s and picked at it off and on for what seems like forever. It's a display piece, first and foremost. Make sure not to take it too "seriously" and don't sweat the small stuff. This is an amazingly fun hobby, and hopefully not anxiety inducing. The fact that we have access to the many helpful talents on this forum (and others) to make a childhood fantasy come true is INCREDIBLE!

What you have is a movie screen quality ROTJ Fett outfit, top to bottom. It definitely looks the part, whether you can get a certain 501st approval or not; that's why there are different tiers. If you displayed it at an exhibition, you could convince 99% of the general Star Wars fandom that it was screen used. Only the dedicated Fett experts on SW costuming forums would "know" what to look for. So unless you are going to be really active in a local garrison with a fair amount of trooping and events, it doesn't "matter" in the big scheme of things.

High quality components, a nice paint job, and features that you WILL continue to pick at and upgrade as the years go by ;) ! It will never be "done", you will simply have to let it "be" what it becomes.

BTW: The weathering is the best part! Looking forward to your progress!

P.S. Have you considered doing any retro or classic magic reviews, such as Scotch-and-Soda, Brainwave deck, etc. ? Or any of the countless Tenyo products?

Yes, it uses the same 1" black nylon strap setup and ties the same way, with the nylon sewn onto one side of belt buckles and utilizing the buckles and holes in the straps to secure it.

THIRD PAIR OF SHOES ... strike out again

these were from MANOWAR - I totally thought I was in the clear this time. And everyone's order looks like this, so there's NO WAY we're getting refunds.

I dont even think these are worth painting ... is Boba ever bare foot?

Yeah you're not the only one. Besides the bad sole, I think the canvas section was flipped inside out. I hope MOW makes it right!

My MOW boots are the same - complete disappointment.

I’ll start a new thread about it, if you don’t mind posting up your photo and experience. l hope we can get some resolution.
