RafalFett's Boba Fett 3D Projects

So far so good on my jetpack print. Printed in PETG. Used about 2 full rolls of 1kg filament so it’s super light. Coated the entire thing in XTC-3D, along with some reinforcing fiberglass resin on the inside seems for strength. Very pleased with how it turned out. Thanks RafalFett for the files.

Thanks a lot for the nice words, Tommy! Sadly no gauntlets for now, but it is on my to-do list.

Hey Rafal-- I'm assuming it's your shop on Shapeways I'm looking at... just curious, how easy would it be to isolate a few of the gun parts other than the greeblies to solo print. I'm fixing up a resin kit and need a new trigger/trigger guard, and hammer.

Already planning to get the stock greeblies and Phantom parts.

Yes, the Rafal Works shop from Shapeways is run by me. If I'm reading right, you want me to separate some gun parts so you can 3D print them? I ask this because most of my models are free to download for personal use, but if you don't know how to separate the parts and/or don't have a 3D printer, I can separate those for you, in which case the model will not be downloadable.

Hi RafalFett I'm just in the process of downloading your amazing files. I wonder most of your files are free to download but there are some that don't have this option as the files above and the hollow jetpack rocket. Are all the parts available to download and these are just extra parts? Sorry new to your shapeways shop and it is a bit confusing to tell if i have everything . Thank you(y)

Most of the files that are not for download are custom requests and the rest are just parts that are separated from the bulk file, which is downloadable. The Webley trigger and hammer file was separated from the rest of the parts as per the client's request, while the hollow jetpack rocket file was modified to fit another client's needs. The downloadable files have all the parts and pieces you need to print. Also don't forget that these are for personal use only.

Brilliant thank you very much really appreciate that. Just wanted to make sure that I was downloading it right.(y):):)

Downloaded, separated, printed, SANDED and FILLED and SANDED and built/painted/finished this awhile back, but I don't come here often, I'm at the RPF pretty much exclusively.

Only real parts are the scope, scope rings, flash tube (Synchronar, and I know it's not the correct orientation), screws, springs, wire, sling swivels and rings (copper wire I formed into rings), and of course the sling. Once listed, that sounds like a lot of non-printed parts! This took a TON of work (separating all the parts and setting them up for printing, printing, then the finishing obviously took the longest), and it paid off!

So anyway, I just HAD to thank you Rafal, for all your WONDERFUL models!!

(BTW, the center stock greeblies are your older versions, you hadn't posted the new ones at the time I built this, so eventually I'll update it with the newer versions)

Most folks can't tell it's a print, the only real giveaway at first glance is the grip checkering. Not sure if that can be improved upon, but I still think it looks GREAT and you did one heck of a job modelling this, sir!

And here's some older pics of it. I had to repaint the stock, because originally it was too dark. It was my first time trying to simulate wood grain. I still think it's too dark, I just don't know when to stop with the brown washes!

And then these here are after I redid the stock's paint, before I put the greeblies back on.

EDIT: Somewhere in there I found a set of "Tall Feet" scope rings, originally I had the short feet on there, and I modified the mounting block model to make the scope sit a bit higher, and give the feet/claws a little more "meat" to grab onto. I think I've still got some modified blocks on there in the most recent incarnation. Pretty sure that's the only model of yours that I changed at all.

Now that is a great EE-3 blaster! You did a great job! It is rewarding to see something you modeled without seeing or touching the real part (all my models were done using images or templates of the originals, except the Panorama hand telescope, which I own) coming to life using a 3D printer and lots of love and dedication.

Hey Raf! Beautiful work! I may have missed it somewhere in the thread, and apologize if I did, but the last part I need is the AM Ariel Plug file. I saw that I could get the set on Shapeways, and that the full EE-3 was on 3D Warehouse, but couldn't find *just* the plugs.
It also could be that you just want to sell those prints rather than provide the file, and that's cool too!

All you need is posted on Shapeways or 3D Warehouse, but on some models you'll need to separate the parts manually so you can 3D print them individually.
