RafalFett's Boba Fett 3D Projects

Firstly Excellent work and a big thank you ! i think i said this on the other thread for the stencils.

Has anyone printed a full jetpack yet ? i would love to see the results ?

I am new to 3d printing so have no idea how its done, all i know is that some printers have smaller bed sizes so i would want to know how people assembled it together

I actually plan on 3D printing it. I got all the files saved on my computer. My friends 3D printer isn't very big so I may have to rent one from someone for the bulky parts. I will post how it turns out.

Post #10 (quick jump here ==> http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/f20/r...47/#post636400) was updated with the 3D model of the Belt Buckle (all versions except the Supertrooper/Pre-Pro #1):

Currently having some issues sourcing out someone in my area with a 3D printer large enough to make the body. I am working on it though

This is amazing work - I'll definitely be using some of your bits. Thanks!

Any chance you're working on the whipcord housing model?

Thanks for the kind words, sir! Might do them in the near future, but the only problem is the difference between the gauntlets made by different builders, so an universal whipcord housing might not work.

Wow great work I can see why your name is well known in the Dented helmet community I know you have put this online for free for us fans but do you accept donations as if / when I use them I would like to give you a donation for your hard work.

Thanks for the kind words! There's no need for a donation, as a honest thank you is the best payment.

Ahh, makes sense. I would think with it being a straight line, though - should work OK. I've just seen so many resin items crack at troops... makes me so hesitant to use them on parts that I can't really keep control of (especially gauntlets!).

I went with metal and 3D printed parts for my Vader because of my paranoia :D

Your best bet then is Shapeways or else scratch build those parts and then print the rest. I thought about printing mine too but my printer is too small (unless I did it in parts) and Shapeways wants some serious $$$ and my suit is on budget...

You do know these downloads for everything on this thread is free right? RafalFett isn't charging anything. I got all the files for it, I just can not find a printer large enough without sending it off to someone with an industry sized printer.

It is true that all my 3D models are also free (you'll need to make a free account to access them), but if you want these printed and shipped by Shapeways, you'll have to pay for their services.

OHH, see, I didn't know that.. yea, that is REAL expensive.

Hey Rafal, I'm currently churning out some of your models and I'd just like to say how awesome they've been coming out!

Have you printed your jetpack model?

Also do you plan on doing gauntlets at all? I'd prefer abs plastic printed ones over vacced or resin ones :)

No, haven't printed any model yet, although I would love to have all of them (and more). The gauntlet is not on my priority list, but that's what I said with the jetpack and the helmets too. I know toolguy made some for himself (for his Jodo Kast build), but don't know if he will made the model public.

Is the Jetpack all one piece?

It's one item I've got on my wish list tbh.
3D printed gauntlets > any other form ;)

Yes, the jetpack body is one piece and all its components are separate models. The best way to visualize these components is to go to my Shapeways shop and on the left choose a category, like Boba Fett Jetpack Parts, which will list only the jetpack components.

i have also been printing some bit for my jet pack and they are working a treat IMAG0041.jpgIMAG0042.jpgIMAG0043.jpg
