Proper way to attach side pouches?

Guys,

Can anyone tell me how to properly attach side pouches? I tried putting them on my ammo belt but they don't look right.

In some photos I have seen it looks like they are attached to part of the rope belt. Then the leather belt is over top.

AFAIK the ROTJ pouches have a loop you put the ammo belt through and in ESB they are attached to the back side of the ammo belt with velcro.

To further complicate things, I think the ROTJ style pouches might have been attached under the ammo belt, a la ESB, on the ANH Special Edition.

Just add another belt under the ammo belt. You can adjust and you wont notice it. The pouches do not go on the ammo belt.

I have a separate belt that the pouches are on. The belt is underneath the ammo belt and girth belt so you can't see it.

Oh, on further examination I found this pic from a photoshoot that shows the pouches on the ammo belt. Further proof that there are more variations on how this suit can be worn than you can shake a stick at.

This thread helps. I too, was wondering this. I'll go with the hidden belt under the ammo belt method.

For all things Fett, I would say you should pick the particular version of the suit you are building and do whatever is in that one.

But by particular version, I mean 1 suit, 1 scene / exhibit / etc... because it changes basically every time it goes anywhere or does anything.

I built mine following the Magic of Myth exhibit photos, and ignored everything else. If it wasn't in MoM, it's not on me

Man, I wish I had thought of using velcro or a hidden belt. . . I've just been screwing the pouches directly into my pelvis.
