Mail call!

After many moons of searching I was able to bag myself a set of Woodman wookie braids! I'm so excited as these are a huge step up from my original braids.

Woody's on the left and mine on the right:

Not only do these look much better, I think they'll hold up much better over time. That's one more box checked off on the upgrade list!

Hey all!

My ammo belt was another box to check off on the improvements list. I have a Delta Leather Works belt that I scraped up on my basement floor but never did anything further. Here's a before:

I used some artists oils paints that I had on hand. Black and burnt umber were colors that I liked and thought would be fitting.

I applied the oil paint lightly with a cotton makeup oval in a dabbing motion. Working in small areas at a time, then rubbing/blending the oil paint with a mechanic's rag.

After a few applications of the two colors I was able to add a nice color to the front of the pouches.

I think doing this was a huge improvement to the pouches

I also wanted to improve on the shape of the pouches as well while I was at it. I had some packing foam inserts that I had originally made but they felt flat. I added a bit of sound proofing foam to the lower area of the pouches so the looked more natural.
