You are right JangoUri, it hasn't been rubnbuffed yet. The RnB that I bought is still in transit from a dealer. For the meantime, I reworked the armor using metal polish rubbed on a coat of heat resistant silver lacquer which fiberglass accepts. It produces also a metal like glare but secondary to rub & buff.
Here are the latest results...
By rubbing along different angles, dull streaks and scratches can be produced which help to recreate weathering.
It also worked well on the jet pack...
I also experienced what the TDH seniors discovered a couple of years ago that at different lighting conditions (indoor, sunlight, flash etc...) the color of the costume especially the flight suit can change from bluish to light purple. The cloth that I settled on somehow gave this effect, not perfect but something purple at least. Its also wrinkle free and partially water repellant.
Having fun now, eager to troop and then proceed to rub&buff when my order arrives
