New ESB CRL question ?

To gain infamous ESB status when getting approved the new CRL says that the right gauntlet hose should have a wire running through it and connect to the gauntlets the same way as PP2. I can't seem to find any reference to the connection anywhere?

Well, now. I was thinking that finding an accurate hose in isolationtown Canada was difficult enough...what kind of wire should be used here?

Any run-of-the-mill guitar or mic cable will suffice. Just cut it to length, slide it through your hose and attach it at the gauntlet.

Not sure how the cable attached directly to the gauntlet is going to work long term , trying to get the gauntlet on with the hose attached will be awkward. And having it permanently attached could cause the hose to snap or break off at gauntlet base.
I had a play around this afternoon with a male and female jack plug connector and a lead I had laying around.the jack plug clicks into place and can rotate / swivel with arm rotation.

Funky, what size is that braided tube?

I've been debating between a 3/8 and 5/16 braided tube but without gauntlets in hand, I'm not sure what size I should go for.

I can only find 3/8 without ordering a huge roll of a different size online.

It is 10mm internal 15mm external or in American 3/8 . I bought it from eBay by the metre

I'm surprised this matters in a CRL. I'd call it an interesting detail for the most hardcore only, like the two right knees, misaligned gauntlet dart, or cracked helmet being a requirement.

The blocks have a hollow area for the tube to fit into and they were just jammed in. The ESB had trouble staying together, just like every other version of the suit. You can see on other suits they resorted to metal wire or tape to try to hold the hose on better.

I think this is a requirement for the top tier "infamous" status. Basic approval doesn't require it. I know the staff at the BHG are still tweaking the requirements for this tier. They're trying to figure out the balance between hyper accuracy and feasibility. That's why they require the cracked helmet feature but do not require the cheek bulge for example. That's how I understand it anyway.

I agree with F4R, dont think there is a jack on the back of the block either. I did mine with a black bicycle brake cable housing running through the hose. you can drill a hole to fit the brake cable housing into the block and super glue it in there...it wont go anywhere trust me lol. then just slide the hose over it...you may be able to do something on the other end to keep the hose from moving back as it will be hidden in the sleeve.

And yes Bryan is correct Keegan, this is for "infamous" level which is the highest tier in the 501st tier system for accuracy. Also like Bryan said, they try to get it as accurate as possible, but also feasible to most folks. We here at TDH are a little more "crazy" with the details haha

Yeah but the hose isn't always loose.
I would say
1. The gauntlet hose must fit into the plug block.
2. There must be a black cable running the length of the hose.
3. The black cable must be attached to the plug block to allow the hose to slide out and reveal it as seen in some reference.
