NEW BOBA FETT ROTJ BUILD

5/18 - Here it is! My ROTJ bucket is nearly complete. That dome was quite the challenge as well as the kill stripes. For my first time doing a bucket, I am satisfied with the way this turned out and look forward to do more in the future. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. Definitely going to go over this guy with a wire wool brush and some black misting via airbrush! Next will be ear and visor attachment!

5/22 - Got the ears attached along with the range finder stalk! I took a wool wire brush to the ears to make the weathering look more natural. I used Gorilla Glue Construction adhesive for the left and bottom right ears. The range finder stalk is held with a couple flat head bolts. The ear cap covering the stalk was applied with the same adhesive mentioned earlier. Next will be the range finder itself, the visor, and some weathering! Also caught that I need to paint the 2 triangles in the front as well :)

5/25 - Here it is, this bad boy is 99.99% complete! Got the visor put in and did some airbrushing with black for weathering. Very happy with how this turned out. This has by far been the most fun part of the build and seeing it come together gives me a great sense of relief!

5/30 - Here are some photos of me suited up with the ROTJ helmet. I still want to get a new cape and fixate the helmet better on my head to show some neck seal. Also need to put in the Boba thong. I do want to get a new EE-3 as well, all in good time though! Next will be a new jet pack.

Looking fantastic bro. Quick question? Are your boot spikes screwed on or glued. One of mine snapped off the first time i wore the boots. Considering getting a tap and die set and bolting em on but its so small. Just wondered if you had been down that road or not ?

Thanks brother! I drilled them right Into the boot. They hold better than blue so I would definitely recommend drilling them right in. You can put a nut on the inside to secure them better!

Hi mjwierzb, I built Boba Fett Hero ROTJ from scratch. I'm confused about making a girth belt. can tell me about the thickness of the string used?

Hi there! I actually got mine from a seller on Etsy called ReGeekedProps. It was around ~100 dollars. He dyed it for me so it’s the proper ROTJ color. I’m very happy with it and would recommend!

10/1 - Been awhile since I’ve posted, been super busy with work and haven’t had nearly had much to dedicate to my new ROTJ jet pack. But I’ve been working hard on it when I can and attached is what I have so far. Pretty stoked with the way it’s looking! There isn’t too much left to get done, I hope to have it done by Halloween.

I'd be proud to own that, its fab.

10/2 - The rocket on my jet pack is complete! I was doubtful I wasn’t going to be able to find the right color/mix of colors to get the color that I wanted. I ended up getting Vallejo Hull Red and Createx transparent red. I mixed both of those together with a bit of reducer (Createx) and this is the result I got! Very pleased with how it turned out as I was mad nervous for the rocket
