New BKBT Jango Knees

No problem, Jango72.
No updates only because I've been working on filling orders and the new backplate and gauntlet molds. Plus, I need to either make masters or find a source of darts so I have specific dimensions to modify the side parts with recessed partial holes for the darts to fit in. However, here's a test pull I did for sizing.

No, these were just a fiberglass backed gelcoat pull of BKBT's knees to test out the fit. There is still a lot of prep work to do before the molds for rubber production can be made. I'm anticipating middle of next month until the molds are ready.:wacko

Thanks for the continued interest. To let everyone know where we are on this project, I returned the masters and assembled prototype knee to BKBT for critiquing and any adjustments he feels necessary. I'll keep everyone up to date as the project progresses. Thanks again, guys.

Just to chime in for a second. After the initial casting of the prototype, Cruzer & I both agreed there needed to be some tweaking. Also, the knees have been scaled to screen accurate size so we were thinking of offering a larger size for larger Fetts. They would be identical in proportions, only wider across the front shell.

My real world business has picked up again but I will be working on these in the next couple of weeks.

Me too! BKBT and I are finishing up what is hopefully the last of the final "tweeks". The delay of course being entirely my fault.:facepalm

However, the very first pulls from the new molds were sent off this past Thursday or Friday to foxbatkllr for a test run this weekend at San Diego Comic Con. Hopefully he'll post some pics when he gets them assembled.

Once they're finalized...the very first project on the list is rubber versions!

Thanks Lorenzo! The new knees should be arriving at my place this morning, although I am at work so I won't get to see them until tonight. But I will be sporting them at Comic-Con and if I have the time to breathe, I'll make sure to take some pics of them assembled for this thread.
