Mandalorian costume

[Great Mandalore]

Well I've been looking on this fourm for awhile now and I've decided to make my own mandalorian. The only thing is that I don't know were to start and I was wondering if somebody would give me some tips how to make this costume and hopefully some ref pics, I desperly *sp* need some.
Oh yeah here is the only reff pic I have so far. Oh and sorry if this topic isn't in the right thread

That pic is Mandalor, leader of the Mandalorians at the time of KOTOR2 (Knights of the Old Republic 2 video game)

While not exactly the same, I think you should use some ideas that the Clone Emperor came up with for his Durge. It's an incredible costume (seen it up close) and it seems to have similar elements.
