Joker Hexagon Fabric Print Interest

If anyone is looking for a way to make a wallet chain "choker" chains for large dogs work well, and they're fairly cheap. I don't know what style links you need, as far as screen accuracy, but I've worn a wallet chain for years and that's what I used. The chains on wallets that come with one are usually cheap, thin metal and short so I replace them.

hey guys, for a pretty cheap alternative, hot topic has some alright duds

what i like most is the tripp hexagonal shirt, and while it's not 100% screen accurate, it's not bad for about 30 bucks, especially when 1 yard of the screen accurate fabric is already $26. i'm planning on using this tripp shirt to just parties and stuff, cuz y'know, it is a nice shirt. you can use a promo code GHTBD91W for bdays in sept, just make sure when you sign up you say your bday is in sept. everything else isn't too bad for the price either; while nothing is 100% screen accurate, at least it looks a little better than those cheaply made costumes by those costume companies that sell for $60

Lol what the hell is with the converse shoes? The least they could have done was shoved some brown shoes on the sucker model. The shirt is purple o_O the vast is pin-striped @_@ and where the heck is his blazer and tie?
I am very unamused. D:

I'd like it a lot more if I couldn't see the parts in which the print cuts off and begins again :-)

Well the cotton transfers are very expensive so i pre drew the pattern on the fabric & am only putting the transfers were i need them

Last week with the order of the shoes, purchase of buttons, and some alternate vest back fabric took me over the $400 mark already...and I still need pants and a blazer. Skipping the blazer for Halloween as I don't need anything else causing my makeup to run aside from the desert heat.

Oh, and over $440 if you include two viewings at the regular theatre and one IMAX for the character study. But the fact I'm able to creep everyone out by dropping into character by choice is priceless.

just out of my own curiosity, how much have you people spent in time/money thus far on your joker costumes?

oh god, i don't ever want to know. i just got out of college and got my first grown-up job (and paychecks) so i've been sort of spending money with reckless abandon on this joker costume and i'm trying to not keep track of how much i spend.

any tips on dying a blue overcoat purple? its a bright blue and its 100% pure virgin wool. Any tips or best practices?

Wool is very, very hard to dye. A guy on another forum, "Eddie Brock", says he destroyed four coats trying to dye them. So I dunno. To get my pants from blue to purple I used Rit color remover then two packs purple and a half pack royal blue, however. :facepalm

wool sucks to dye, i went to the thrift store and found a test subject
white over coat submerged in purple rit dye for 2 days, guess what happened
nothing, i took it out rinsed it off and all the dye came off with the rinse . maybe i did something wrong? but i followed directions salt and all , i also used 4 packs of dye
good thing i already had my actual purple over coat, just got my socks and gloves
time to make my vest. what is the fabric for the vest? is it wool? or some cotton cloth? also have to make the hexo shirt but without materials thus far im gettingnervous to think it wont be coming until late october which would be highly unfortunate

You sure that's my pattern? The direction of the diamonds is not the way I put them. And the checkerboard pattern is WAY smaller. Looks like the pattern jarvis made, seen in post #12.

Also, I haven't disclosed how my chain has been done yet. ;)

I'm actually the model for the site www.jokerwearhouse.com I bought all my stuff there. The guy is really friendly and ships in time. I REALLY recomend them. Some of the stuff is priced a bit much, but since I bought them he's lowered the price and I cant find any other seller who sells the same quality stuff so....

yeah

Then you got ripped off. You can get the same stuff from the original people for cheaper, he is just re-selling stuff he has bought to make money off the hype.
