Zurath Kodul
Active Hunter
I just like to share my creativity with people, enjoy.
Origin story of Zurath Kodul, my custom Mandalorian. Written from his PoV
Age 10, just growing into my armor. My life fell apart in a heartbeat.
Sparring with Boba was the last thing I remember. I landed the butt of my blaster on his helmet and he retaliated with his father’s rage, and his fist. Everything went black and the next thing I knew, I was in the infirmary with my dome laying on the table with a big dent in it. Boba was across the room getting his hand sewn up from the connection with my bucket. The next day, I was given a discharge from the ranks for careless conduct with a fellow recruit, and was never the same after that day…..
I was living out the rest of my miserable life on the bars and gutters of a desert planet on the outer rim, I think it was Tatooine. One windy day, a man in black robe (I think his name was Nihilus) approached me with a very interesting proposition. Before you could say “bantha poodoo,” I was aboard his ship enroute to Coruscaunt.
_____Upon my arrival, I was greeted by another man in a black robe, but he was walking with a slight limp. He greeted my guide and turned to me. He had a gaze like steel, and his voice was so commanding. He greeted me and asked if I knew why I was here. “Yes,” I responded, “your friend told me that you had a proposal for me.” The robed figure laughed a hideous laugh, “And what is your answer to his message?” I just smiled at that point.
_____Within a month, my training was finished. I was given a new set of armor, an unscratched red and black suit. I wore it with pride, and I was assigned a new name for my missions. “My friend,” the man named Sidious said, “your name shall now be Zurath Kodul. Wear it proudly.” From that day on, I had a new life, new weapons, and a new master.
Now, I’ve been hunting bounties and Jedi across the galaxy, but when I heard that the temple went down at the hands of one of their own, I was left speechless. This Skywalker kid was the next on my list, followed by somebody named “Kenobi.” When I returned to see Sidious, his face was melted beyond recognition. I almost hurled in my helmet at that point. He informed me that Skywalker had replaced his last student and that I must now call him “master.” I gladly accepted my orders, of course the salary of 50,000 credit’s a month wasn’t bad, either.
So, 30+ years later and I’m still on the Empire’s payroll. Even after the rebellion shattered the second death star and Vader died, I’m still out there, hunting the last few Jedi, as I was still being paid by someone, no idea whom
_____After another twenty years, I pay a little visit to Kessel, where I find an Imperial outpost. I question them as to whom has been paying me and they just say “the Emperor.” I, of course, thought that they never heard the news, until I saw a man in his mid-twenties walk into the room asking for a status report. I asked him what he knew about this, and he took me into a chamber that was more of a throne room. He explained to me that the Emperor had several clones made for use after his death, and that he was the first. In traditional Mandalorian fashion, I asked him where he got he cash I was getting? He explained that the spice mines were bringing in so much money, that them empire and the people of Kessel could live richly, although the Kessel-ites never saw a single penny of it.
_____Where was I? Oh right, the spice mines. I stayed there for a few weeks, enjoying myself.
I would have stayed longer, if I hadn’t accidentally bumped the wrong button with my Coke cup. In my defense, they should never make the controls to a vacuum drill look like a cup holder. Well, long story short, there was a price on my head, but I learned what I needed to know.
I was 60 and had the physique of a man in his 20s, all because of a serum the empire was working on. It was derived from a certain chemical that was only found an kessel, one dose would let you live forever. I was given the shot when I started my training, and this was what had kept the clone-emperors going for so long. As it turns out, that drill was the only path to the serum, and I sunk it and accidentally broke the control.
As I was leaving, I saw him again. Boba Fett was standing there, in one piece. Apparently the Sarlaac didn’t kill him after all. As I was trying to run past him, he landed his fist on my head. Ah, old times.
____So, 60 and having a price on my head, not the best thing in the world. I started digging around my hunk-o-junk ship and found an old weapon that Sidious gave me when I started training. It was a light saber. I had no idea if it worked, and I wasn’t about to find out.

That's all I have right now, what do you think of it?
