Flight Suit Flight suit

Do you guys wash your flight suits? Cause I imagine you would have to eventually.

So, for the record I've not had mine that long (4 months or so with as many wearings) but I don't really plan on washing it. I figure any dirt/stains etc. will just add to the weathering. If it starts to stink, maybe I'll rinse, but no detergent. Totally unmanageable spots (say PBJ, blood or some such, all over an arm or leg) may cause me to reconsider, but I'm afraid much of the dye and plenty of the weathering paint would wash out with a normal washing. Maybe dry cleaning if absolutely necessary, but I'm hoping not at this point.

I've washed mine 2 or 3 times, the vest and neckseal at least once. Gloves and hood also. I've done some sweaty troops and like my costume to be fresh. I used spray paint and dye to weather my costume so it is pretty permanent. Drying does remove some paint, so like in the case of my cape, I reapplied some scorching after washing. I washed it to aid in the frayed look at the edges of the damage. My cape is cotton canvas so I also ironed it to make it flat and droopy again instead of puffy.
