I used a 1hz and 2Hz ic's to flash the 2 red Leds it has an on/off switch and a tilt switch I also managed to squeeze in a charging port for the 3.7v lipo battery and all without having to hollow out the clear plastic part (not in pictures as it's not finished yet!)

Well I finally plucked up the courage to start painting my bucket, done the main damage and colour on the dome and lower cheeks so far, here are some pics

It may not be absolutely screen accurate but I'm happy with my first ever use of an airbrush

getting the first bit of paint on is the hardest. Just remember worst comes to worst you can always strip everything off and start again. So don't be afraid to make mistakes. take your time, make sure all masking is on firmly and make sure paint is dried before removing masking.

Thanks for the support, I think it's going well so far, as I said it's not going to be screen accurate just sort of a resemblance.
I have now done the kill stripes here are the pics

That's really neat. I find the idea of Boba having to charge his helmet at night pretty amusing.

What solution do you have for attaching it to the stalk btw? I don't see any screw holes or anything.

I used Singleseats rangefinder tutorial, so used the metal plate screwed to the stalk that slots into a pocket in the rangefinder, works a treat.

I used all his templates as well. Some excellent ideas on here by some very talented people, my project would never of happened without them!

Progressed the painting a bit over the last couple of days, managed to get the upper cheeks, mandibles and trim done, this is how it looks now.

Grimstuff, your build thread is a very interesting read which I have subscribed to, will be following it as it progresses

Thank you, glad you like it. And yeah, that's a really cool solution, I'm a big fan of screw-less connections like that. Too bad I kinda already have mine designed around bolt collections.

I would never have thought of it myself, but that's the beauty of this forum everybody is willing to share their ideas. Hopefully in time I will be able to help someone on here, to put something back in to the community.

Hi all another update, I have spent most of the Christmas holidays painting my bucket, here are some pics

And this is how it looks now, pretty much finished
