only thing i really left shiny was the gauntlets...everything else is a little bit duller...yes, i took your advice...i didnt dull it to the point of it looking satin...but it is a lot more dull than the gauntlets

the stripes and mando skull on the chest is supposed to look messy...i also added "carbon powder" on the the white pieces...only thing left i have to do is straighten out the shin pieces and curve the thighs in some more

thoughts?

by the way

what could i use to make the shin parts stick to my legs better? ive seen people use the weird wrap that goes around and then just connecting the shin piece to that...i just dont know what it is or how to attain one

Looks good, and just in time for halloween. : )

I would maybe use an elastic fabric and do it that way, also, you should probably glue them to that part of the pants unless you want to wash the pants from time to time.

i tried gluing once it didnt really work out...i could screw them in though i guess...but i need a way of keeping the actual pant leg tight around my shins so they dont just hang off like that

what kind of glue works the best for plastic on fabric?

i don't think it would look at all too bad if you took some black webbing and wrapped it all the way around the shin armor and the leg too and clasped it with some antiqued buckles. but then, i'm a fan of buckles.

Just use some 1 inch sintra squares with 5/8's heavy duty snaps set in them. Make sure you put the male end on the sintra block (the end that snaps into the larger female end) and the female end on a piece of elastic that fits tightly around your calf. You'll need to make 4 blocks per shin piece, 2 elastic straps and probably 2 bags of 5/8's inch heavy duty snaps. Use PVC epoxy to affix the sintra blocks to the armor, and make sure you rough up the back of the block and the area on the armor where it's going to be glued.

Make a small hole in the center of the block just big enough to fit the make end rivit through. You'll need to compress the sides of the hole down with some pliers or the rivit won't have enough clearence inside the male head to hold it down. Once thats done, glue the blocks to the armor, then set your female ends into the elastic straps. presto...you have instant straps that will hold strong and are easy to put on and take off =)
