superjedi Sr Hunter Mar 17, 2015 #2 That should work for a lot of them. I like to use a size 000 brush or even a size 5/0 for the finer ones. For the hair thin ones I physically scratch through the paint with a sharp metal tool.

Major Active Hunter Mar 18, 2015 #4 Steel wool will also tone down the silver, depending on how bright it comes out.....
