Something I have learned after a couple years around here... you're never ever finished your Fett. Here's what I've been doing all day today:
A couple weeks ago, jc27 posted a question about how to connect kidneys and cods, I think. Anyways, it got me thinking about how to better suspend those parts, along with the girth belt, ammo belt, and holster. Since the beginning, I have ben attaching the armour parts directly to the flight suit with snaps. Girth & ammo belt hang off of the armour parts. Eventually, it starts to bag out the flight suit.
I started by gluing in some horizontal ABS strips, set about 1/2 cm away from the inside of the armour. I glued in 2 tabs inside the kidney, and 2 more inside the cod.
These strips are what a set of suspenders will grab onto.
Suspenders can now carry the weight of the cod/kidney combo, along with the belts and sidearm holster.
We'll want to wear the suspenders under the flight suit. I cut some access holes for the suspender clips to grab through, from the inside of the flight suit to the strips glued to the armour. I first attached the armour pieces, then I used a Sharpie to draw where the strips were through the flight suit. I then used the buttonhole attachment on a sewing machine to do non-fraying, pro-looking holes where I had Sharpied for the access holes. Did you know a sewing machine could do this?! It's magic! :confused
It's a little tricky to attach the suspenders inside the flight suit. I found that its easiest to attach the kidney to the flight suit with snaps, attach the suspender clips to the kidneys through the holes, then put the flight suit on. Make sure you drape the suspenders over your shoulders before you sleeve up. Next, attach the front suspender clips to your armour, then attach the snaps from the flight suit to the armour. Finally, connect the armour at the hips.
It hikes up the waist to an acceptable height! However, I will likely have to take in the suit, since it's been stretched by all the hanging parts.

It makes a difference, I think. I don't look so pudgy in the belly anymore (I have been hitting the gym a lot too...).
BTW, I am not Batman. I am Boba Fett.
