David Mandel Current Owner of the PP2?

Wow, what a find! Really curious about the background on this.

If this is the real PP2 though, I would hope for a display that seems to be a little less prone to tipping over and causing a catastrophic failure of helmet integrity...

Looks like he also owns an original Kenner rocket firing original Boba Fett toy, those go for 185k plus, I wonder what other Fett helmets he has, very cool find!

I've heard he owns some other Fett items much cooler than the action figure but less cooler than the helmet!

Wasn’t this shared when the article was originally released? Yes that the helmet and yes that’s him. The helmet was stolen in the 90’s and passed through some collector’s hands until it ended up on eBay around ‘02 if I recall. The auction was quickly removed but enough interested parties saw it.

That Tom Spina stand beats a Wal-Matt shopping bag.

I think Max Cervantes helmet that he made in the mid 90’s is the cleanest PP2 cast. He made his first 2 casts in 1980 and molded one of them in the mid 90’s to make the second cast. His first cast is distorted now.
