Cold Cast Jango Helmet

So I’m starting on a Jango Fett helmet and upper torso armor build. I 3D printed all the parts and cleaned them up and in the process of molding the armor to cold cast. I’ve already finished the helmet and cast a couple with the third one coming out perfect for painting. I’ll post updates as I go along. The rangefinder and stem and ear cap pieces I cast separately.

I love the last pic with the sponge on the drill. After I hit my cold cast with #0000 steel wool, it looked like brushed aluminum. I used a car headlight buffing sponge that you mount on a drill and wet-buffed it to a glossy shine, then hit it with metal polish and then buffed it with a stiff paper towel.
