Borden Connector Question

Does anyone know if the holes on the borden connector go through the other side? Like, if you shone a light from the inside, would you see it through the holes on the connector?

If I recall correctly, the Bordens are cut short and epoxied (or whatever material they used) in place from inside the helmet in a dome-like shape. As such, the holes are covered on the inside. This is also why there has been some debate around what material the Borden itself is made out of (it's Nickel Plated Brass).
