Best method to add battle damage to trash can armor?

Hey all building my trash can armor set using the awesome tutorial on here. My question is what is the best method to add the battle damage?

Think the preferred method is careful use of a heat gun. Can get one at Home Depot or a dirt cheap one from like Northern tools or Harbor Freight.

I agree a heat gun. For weathering you can use a combo of tooth paste between paint layers and a dremel whith a cloth wheel. i have a ton of weathering time under my belt. pm me with any questions you may have. I try to log in at least once a day.
