Armor Finish

New Hunter
Hello,

I have been browsing the fourms for some time now. I have looked at the armor/helmets made by many talanted artists. However I have not seen the type of smooth finish with the sheen seen in the picture I have attached. I do not take credit for this picture, I found it in the fourm.

Does anyone know how this was accomplished, it seems smooth and shinner than the usual vaccumn formed armor, or even the fiberglass helmets.

Actually I had a question about this also. For those of you who have painted their own fiberglass helmets, is there any kind of finish that needs to be applyed when you are finished painting? Thanks. (referring to Fett helmets)

I think that is just some ABS polish and some good 'ol fashioned elbow grease!

What is ABS polish and what types of material can you shine up with it?

I read in one thread where people are using future floor wax with an airbrush to get a finish, and I assume a shinny coat. Has anyone tried this?

Armour always looks alot more shiny on pictures for some reason.. i would compare my helmet in real life to the pictures of it i would never of guessed it was the same helmet..
