JedIinTraining has commissioned me to paint his Animefan coldcast helmet in an RotJ paint scheme. I have the base colors applied and the killstripes complete. Now to wreck the heck out of it!!!

Have you always done the kill stripes before the damage............I couldn't recall seeing that before, and I used some of your paint up threads as reference when I painted my ROTJ helmet.

Yes. I paint the killstripes before the damage because they are used as reference points to make sure the larger scrapes and scuffs are accurately placed.

I do the exact same thing on my ESB paint-ups. Put the killstripes on before doing the damage that's intermixed between them.
