WOW!!!!!
Your Supertrooper Boba is unbelievable :thumbsup::eek:

I´m working on my Supertrooper too - maybe you can help me and tell me how you attached your towel on your armor.
Maybe with a Picture

Greetings

While this looks like a failure, it is a sucess to me. The piece comes out of the mold nicely and aside from the ears in the front it is pretty nice. I need to get a syringe to shoot the resin into the ears better and I think it will cast better. Or a pressure pot. I also was able to cast a dental file with pressure casting. Again a syringe would help and I am going to try one tomorrow with a better material.

Thanks for the compliment CRAZY .. To attach the towel I put a small hole and grommet in it and put it on one of the studs on the collar. To locate the grommet I had someone hold it up high enough that it ends above my ankle so I won't step on it and positioned it in a way that I can pull it forward like in the movie clips

My long term goal is to make an affordable kit for the Supertrooper Uzi. Sure it is nice to have something with all found parts but maybe that isn't in everyone's budget or the parts aren't around. Cast parts can offer an affordable way of doing it And that is why I have been trying to get this right. I have no real experience with this stuff so aside from some YouTube videos I'm just winging it. I have the Graflex almost perfect now - the tip is thin but it can be painted and I am going to try a different method of getting the material in. I also am working on casting the tip in silver to avoid painting and be relatively cheaper than the $35 or so selling machined ones would cost. The silver one is ugly cause I had too much powder in it and was just trying for color.

Hahah Silverstalker. The tip of the Uzi based gun for the Supertrooper has this model Graflex. It is different from the more common ones ( although not less expensive) that are used for lightsabers. This has the rings that go around it and a different style button that looks like a telegraph switch. I still have to make the telegraph switch part. I would really like to make these in metal but there aren't a ton of people building Supertroopers so I am not sure if it is worth the investment.

It's fascinating to hear about all the things that were repuposed for these movies I would love to see a list of them all, only problem is when I watch them now I can help look at all these little greeble's and chuckle at what they are.

What ever you decide to do with the super trooper (fine detailes and all) it's already way way up there with its rarity

ugh - I didn't test fit the jetpack trim before paint. Now the upper area isn't flat and the stabilizer piece won't sit flush. It leans to the side. I don't want to sand it down, fill and repaint it. Thoughts on using a small washer/shim at the base? I could sand down the high spot a bit but then it would sit in the indent it creates. I could also sand half the stabilizer base as well .

I think I will try that first. I will sand one of the cast ones from ST version base to see how bad it looks before sanding the metal one.

You did a fantastic job! I don't know if to me personally it'd be worth chopping the aluminum. I'd rather leave it shimmering in all its glory on the pack until you have the time to fix the pack itself if need be. Just my 2 cents

Thanks! I haven't made a decision yet what I am going to do with the stabilizer. I'm gonn get the rest of it finished and save that issue for last. I really don't want to have to repaint it at this point.
