Celebration Anaheim - Thankyou

Hey guys,

I just wanted to take a second to say thanks for the awesome welcome i got from every TDH'cher (yeah it's a word) i met at the convention. It was absolutely incredible to meet some of the guys who made components for my costume and gave me advice during my build. Special thanks to Eric (Superjedi) for sharing a room with me and introducing me to everybody. I've been very jaded by my previous experience with the Star Wars costuming with the 501st but I have been absolutely blown away by how friendly and inclusive everybody. Getting kind words from a stranger about a costume is one thing but getting kind words from another Fett is a whole other ballgame and really makes a gal feel loved.

I'm not sure what the reasons behind us not having a booth were but having a table as a base for a con of this size be the only thing that could make an experience like celebration even better. There were a lot of things logistically wrong with the convention itself but that hanging out with the TDH crew made it all worthwhile for me.

And Art, if you read this, I didn't get a chance to thank you for being responsible for this awesome community. I couldn't be more thankful.

Sup Nick!

I had a fun time hanging out with you. I was trying to look for some of you guys on Sunday but I was unsuccessful lol. I guess I'm a crappy bounty hunter hahaha.

Anyways bro, I hope I run into you in the future.

Hey Nicholis!!! Great chats with you my friend! Its always such a great experience putting faces to names. Hope to see you soon and keep up the great work. On a side note, I too was extremely disapointed (refer to our conversation saturday evening ; ) with the booth situation (or lack there of). IMHO a respected community such as TDH should have presented a booth...Its extremely important for the growth and betterment of any organization to do so. Many of the 501st members i have become friends with over the years found it odd, shocking as well as unfortunate.

Nick, really glad to have met you. Couldn't have asked for a better roommate.
I mean, who else would have brought me Vegemite??? Enjoy all your "merch!"

All you other Fett-heads who I got to meet are nuts! Nuts I tell ya!

Nick it was a pleasure meeting you man. This was my first SW con and I have to say it was an amazing experience. I was great putting faces to names and meeting somen of the great people that make the TDH what it is!!!!!!! Our meet ups were great and it was a blast shooting the you know what with everyone. I to was disappointed that we did not have a booth considering a group that shall not be named had one. LOL!!!!!!! It was tuff to pull everyone together but we managed to get it done. In all I saw some great costumes from the fine gentlemen of this board and most of all made some new friends. I will be looking forward to the next con state side.

It was excellent meeting you, Nick! Even if it was only for a short while.

Do not fret guys. We will most definitely have a booth at the next stateside Celebration. I have already made plans set for dinner as well if it is held in Anaheim again(which I suspect that it will).
