the fabric was just layed and glued as i went. It kinda overlaps itself and the joints are hidden by the 'shoe lace' seams.
I must admit i did have a bit of a problem at the Norwich Sci Fi convention where the heel of my right boot came loose but a little epoxy resin sorted that out and it has been good ever since (lasted the whole days trooping of nearly 7 hours without a murmur )
you got it. You take one very sharp knife and cut the sole off the work boot (around the outside of the sole if that makes sense). If you leave about 0.5 - 1.0mm of rubber on the boot, it makes it easier to attach the flip flop sole (use very strong glue - JB Weld works well)
OK, giving a necro bump because you deserve it since this is an amazing scratch-boot thread, may very well have to use this for when I get to that step!
