ESB vs ROTJ armor question

I looked through a bunch of photos and threads on here but I can't find a definitive answer . I know the paint is different but are the dents and scratches different from the two different armor sets ? If there is a "ROTJ" fett armor set can I paint it ESB and it's just different colors ?

Yes, the scratches are different.

No, you can't paint an ROTJ set in ESB and have it be accurate due to differences in dents.

perfect thank you ! I looked at numerous photos and they looked different but I don't know if that's just my eyes playing tricks cause I've been staring at armor for the last month

At some degree the dents on the ROTJ are in the same positions to the ESB one, as the abdominal plate is the repainted ESB Hero, while the cod and collar armor is the reused Pre-Pro #3 (which was very close in paint scheme and dent placements to the ESB Hero). The chest plates are the reused Promo #1 plates (or the Heilman setup), but the left chest plate was dented to look like the ESB Hero one, while the right chest plate has a dent that is not present on the twin armors (Pre-Pro #1, Pre-Pro #3 and ESB Hero). The knees might be part of one of the twin armors, but the shoulder bells are dented differently. More info here ==> The Fate Of The Twin Armors: Pre-Pro #1, Pre-Pro #3 and ESB.
