Z-6 jetpack made from scratch

Recently, some of my friends have asked me to do the Z-6 jetpack.
Previously, I made Z-6 for my son. The effect was quite good:

After analyzing a number of reference images, plans, drawings I made technical drawings with my own solutions.

Objectives of the project:
- Moving side nozzles (adapted for use servo)
- Removable rocket with automatically opening wings (or adapted for use servo)
- Flashing beacon
- Size: width 16". No 15" or 16 "75. Size of 16" is perfect for all users.

This is first photo of my jetpack. Really . Of course it is hidden in this stuff .

Today afternoon I received parts which were cut by laser plotter.
I made technical drawings and for plotting all parts are vectorised in Corel Draw.

Contrary to appearances, I worked on these xmas balls without singing xmas carols.
Xmas Eve spirit I reduced to the one glass of Ballantine's (40% of spirit) ....

Small update. Building of main corpus. All glued edges are beveled. I do this to minimize the visibility of seams.
Of course all edges will be sanding, putting etc

Soon I'll publish some new photos of current stage.

So... next step. Yesterday I received first part of pieces made by "my" turner. They are made of alu and polyamide and are waiting for silicone to make molds.
Some news in corpus of jp. Alu tubes are put on corpus for try.

Looks very nice...curious as to why not go with the more accurate nozzle in the thruster

Wow. I like the precision and creativity of your build. Will you use the shell for an actual jetpack and backfill with foam or something for strength? Or are you just creating a sculpt/buck for casting?

I made it for casting, but now I painted it for use on CEII in Essen and Starforce in Torun. After that I'll finish corpus of JP for making molds. Molds for all other parts I made till now. Prototype was made by me of 2mm polistyrene and 10mm sintra (only for reinforcement of edges (inside).
