Hello Hunters! I'm Wesley from the Netherlands. I've been a lurker for a while on this forum but it's time that i give something back to this amazing community and share my ESB Fett build. I started with this build somewhere in June this year. That's where I received my soft parts from Bobamaker and the journey begins! At this point I have most of the stuff for this build finished so I'll update this thread over the weekend. The reason why I'm doing this amazing and difficult costume? When i was 6 my dad got the star wars dvd set. We watched it together and Boba Fett was the character that i fell in love with. I thought about getting the Lifesize Fett from sideshow but after looking around i thought that i could do one for less and that is also wearable so here we go:

i started with the weathering on the flightsuit, Pouches and flak vest. I used acrylic black spray paint for this.

At this point I also received the first of many packages to progress on the build! Both came from awesome dented helmet members! Wasted Fett boots and Wasted Fett hero ESB armor!

The armor came partially painted by the previous owner but to keep the colors uniform i decided to repaint them using the humbrol guide. This was also the first time that i used an airbrush and enamel paints. This was a whole experience on its own. Both good and bad lol.

And the repainted armor: I really like how it shifts colors in different Lighting. At this point in my build i was waiting on other parts to arrive so the build went into a small hiatus. Next pieces i received where the helmet, Jetpack and gauntlets.

Both the jetpack and gauntlets also came from members on the dented helmet. The helmet came from a member over at the bobafettbuilders group.

Jetpack is the 7CS pack.
Helmet is a Wasted Fett FPH2.
Gauntlets are from Bobamaker.

Here's some pictures from the Bobamaker gauntlets. I used Tamiya TS-78 field grey for the main green. It matched close to the jetpack green and is a much lighter color than the armor. And it comes in a spray can so no airbrush cleaning!

Update:

Suit is already on the mannequin but I'll try to build up the tension lol. If you really can't wait I've already spoiled it on the TDH fb group. Here's a close-up on the armor before I weathered the vest and added the decal/diamond tab piece.

Yep, I almost made the mistake to over weather it but noticed in time that I was looking at the wrong vest lol. Even after washing it my vest still had a light "gloss" shine to it. Knocked that down with a light pass of grey primer misted over the vest.

Update on my ESB Fett build. Shin tools from Bobamaker arrived as well and are sitting nice and warm in their flightsuit. Still unpainted because it's either freezing outside or raining or both.... So can't really get paint stuff done at the moment. Only parts that are missing to complete it are the holster and sidearm? I'll place an order for those in the new year. Hope to get the shin tools painted soon but till then this is the current state of my Fett.

That's a wrap on the shin tools. Tomorrow I'll be repainting my right shoulder.

Don't have that color around but i do have some buff and sand colors from Tamiya, I'll give those a try tomorrow. Thanks for the tip!
