trouble uploading photos

I cant seem to upload new photos to my clone helmet conversion thread, any ideas??

It's probably related to the move last night. I'll take a look later on today when I have more time.

Are you trying to add an attachment or upload to the TDH image gallery?

I just tried both. Attachments worked, but TDH Image Gallery did not. The image gallery is fixed now.

If you are still having trouble, what (if any) errors do you get?

A exact copy of the text and/or a screen shot of the error would be awesome.

When I try to attach a 42 KB jpg photo to my post on this thread: http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/showthread.php?t=27354, in the Manage Attachments window it reads "upload of file failed" after I've hit the upload button. I've tried it about half a dozen times now.

edit: I just tested attaching it here with no success as well.

I bet its something to do with the move... try shutting down your browser clear your temp internet files and try it again. I have posted pics on here all day, so its up and running..

For the curious...

What happens is that the attachments end up in a crazy directory structure... things like

/2/3/4/2/6/8/2/upload/

Some of those directories were writable and some weren't. It seems that there's some mapping of those crazy directories to users. So different people write to different directories.

The directory that I land in was writable, so I was ok. Other people, not so much.

I'm having problems uploading pictures. All I get from long waiting is this message;

"Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error."

I have shut down my browser with no help. I'll run a total shutdown and try again. Is there a 'security token' in use that I'm not aware of?

Ok, the problem on my part was probably the size of my photos ant the fact that I tried to upload too many at one go.. Still the 'security token' issue puzzles me. Is there one or was it just me?

That's a somewhat generic vbulletin message. It can mean a bunch of different things. There is a token, but it's nothing that you would ever see/do anything with, it's just an internal thing.
