Triple FPH2 ESB paint up

Almost... There...

Decided to take it slow, 1 helmet at a time so that I don't fry my brain and eye balls. First helmet concrete and RLM 73 down. Will buff back a little in some spots to show wear.

LOL! I saw the title and said to myself, "Nah, not gonna happen." I think it's wise to slow it down a bit but was kinda hoping you would go for it so I could see if you survive. I have 2 lids to do with 1 on the way and am debating on the best method to completing these and right now I'm thinking one at a time.

Looking really good though Alex and I don't wanna see any discrepancies between any of those lids.

I'm gonna try and do the two simultaneously, but gonna test colors and paint applications on my personal helmet first, gotta take some comparison pictures as well! But first... 20161028_123309.jpg

First I'd like to point out and endeavor I undertook while painting this helmet. I did the nearly the entirety of the grey, blue grey, and maroon portions, free hand (no stencils) by brush. So it didn't come out 100% accurate, but it's extremely close and I'm VERY proud of it. Please note that this is NOT something I do for commissioned work, I was just testing myself as a painter is all.

Okay, so I've finished the main helmet, and will now turn this thread into a DOUBLE FPH2 paint up now that I've got the topical/layered methodology down... I'll be darkening the red and maroon a bit for these next 2 helmets to closer match reference pictures and stuff.

So it's been a bit that I've updated this thread, luckily I've picked up a 3rd commission so I can still follow through with the thread title of a triple paint up.

Catching up the other two helmets to where Jesse's is at. Going to lay the concrete coats down and stencil them for the RLM 73 afterwards.
