trimming rubber knees?

How are you guys trimming your rubber knees? Are you using a dremel or a scalpel? I am afraid that a dremel will take off to much when all I really want to do is smooth out the edges where there is a little excess/seam line. Never worked with rubber before so I wanted to get some tips before I screw them up big time.

not sure wot kinda rubber is used, I have only worked with the foam on clone belts - and I tend to use a blade/scalpel/exacto knife. I think ur fears with regard to dremels is well warranted, from my personal cuts and scraps ;P

VERY carefully with a sharp exacto.

I used scissors/xacto knife...thought the dremmel might creat too much friction and melt the rubber
