Trimming armor edges

When you trim your armor, should it have flat edges, or are they slightly rounded. Does that make sense? :confused

Pics of where the neck piece and the backplate meet look like they are flat. No curve to them.

What is the general consenus?

I'm not sure I understand the question. Do you mean are the edges beveled?

The outline of the armor, the edges. The chest armor seems like it is not a straight edge, rather slightly rounded.
