Coming soon. Great helmet for kids, with plenty of tipped in electronics, and the colors don't look horrible, but why the big old visor? Safety reasons I guess, but if I were a kid, I would be cheesed, and I'd probably be beggin my dad to cut out some of the space at the top of the T.

Gee, I know what you mean about the visor... but I wonder if you could use some of the electronics for an ACCURATE-sized helmet.... such as the RANGEFINDER. :rolleyes

I'm sure someone will gut it for the electronics. That was my first thought, and it might be usefull in that regard.

The other features include some lines that are not in ESB and which are particularly cheesy, like "I'm Boba Fett. You may have heard of me," and "I am the hunter. . . you are the prey."

One of the buttons on the side activates the phrases and another activates the "Sound." I wish I could read what the sound is, i.e. blater sound, or what. Would be awesome if it was that background pinging sound the suit makes, but then again, I always wondered how he'd sneak up on anyone making all that racket

That's actually pretty good to my eyes.
Once you did a mod to that upper visor area, I don't think it'll be half bad.
Less work than modding one of the Clone helmets as far as I can tell.

I dont think the visor area can be fixed since it has to do with the pinch area.
The large visor area looks the same like the Clone helmets, they are all come with large visor.

No, I believe you could just remove the ear cap if it is removeable and cut some of the space out between and move everything together. You might have to cut around the earpiece. Then you would have to glue, etc. everything back in place.

I'm thinking it would be a lot less work to just get one of those child size helmet kits already available; it's just interesting what's out there and, as always, contemplate what they "should" have done. Who knows, this is a prototype, I believe, so maybe the final product will be more squinted up.

The only thing I see happening with this helmet is a million more mando mercs....

The total cost of the helmet may justify buying one to gut the rangefinder electronics, which I'm thinking would be about the same cost as purchasing an electronics board by itself.

Then you can slap the remaining bucket on Ebay and maybe get some of that initial outlay back.

Just like the Hasbro clone helmets, I'm sure you could mod them to be semi-decent. Course, what would the sizing be? Since it's for a child's head, would it be undersized?
