ROTJ paint advice

I’ve painted my armour up but it looks way to vibrant any advice in how to calm it down a bit , I wire wooled and Matte clear coat but still looks very green I’m thinking maybe more wire wool dark wash and matte again ? I really don’t want to repaint

Dark washing could help, but yes, it’s a very vibrant green. To kill vibrancy, it’s good to dull it with a mix of the green used with some darker greys.

However, this might create more issues and it might be easier to mask your damage, which looks great, and then lay down the right green and re-weather.

One of the issues is that I struggle with greens and reds and I’m struggling to find a rattle can that looks right. The colour is rustolium racing green with a dusting in places of Oxford , the Oxford is darker and the same colour as the back of the ESB helmet I’m wondering if a further dusting of the Oxford would kill the vibrant green this is a pic in sunlight

I agree that spray paint is really tough to get the right colour. It’s also extremely limited. check out the Pantone colour from the 501st CRL and compare it to hunt club green or similar greens. I mean, hunt club is even different between Canada and the US, the US being a better shade.

Calmed it down with wire wool and matte clear coat. I think with acrylic wash weathering i can get it something like
