Tighten the upper jetpack straps to get the collar to come down...the sagging is pushing on the bottom of the backplate making the collar choke you, the knee and thong straps are a bit white...might wanna dirty them up like the rest of the suit? Might be lighting though

Thanks guys for the kind words, couldn't have done it without all of the knowledgeable people here & TBHG. It is nice to have it to a wearable stage, can't say it is done cause upgrades & improvements will always be happening.
Thanks for the advice, since the photos I have adjusted the straps on the harness. The jp like you said was hanging way to far out. Was happy with the height just needed to be pulled forward.
The elastic straps were weathered but didn't photograph well so I have since weathered them some more to make them look more grungy. I wasn't happy with how white they looked.
I may do some more weathering on the flight suit as well. Just doesn't look as dirty as I would like.

Hey man,
Your build is by far one of my favs. I am trying your method for the back armor my trash can one was warped in the shoulders and i was just not happy with it. I bought the 30 ply architecture board and the smooth cast. Should i double up the board or is single ply ok? also how much smooth cast do i use and how did you apply it to the board? Thanks

Thanks guys for the kind words.
I did the whole outer shell using the card stock. Then I printed out another set of the pep file on plain paper. I cut these out & used them as templates for cutting the cardboard. The cardboard piece then were trimmed & shaped to fit the card stock shell. I used .060" thick cardboard & used 3 layer to give me a final thickness of .188". At that point is where I began coating with the smooth cast. I used a paint brush to apply the smooth cast. Buy the cheapest brushes you can get cause they are junk when the smooth cast hardens. After the smooth cast sets up rough it up and start filling & smoothing it out. I also added another layer of smooth case after I had gotten things smoothed out & did some minor spot filling after sanding it down.
As a note I had to cut off 2 inches from the bottom of the back plate to make it more correct for my height & placement. So may want to think about that.

Stayed busy this weekend. Went to C2E2 on Saturday & got to do my first official troop with the MWG. Helped work the MWG's booth & participated in their panel. Spent a over 8 hours suited up so & was happy with the comfort of everything. Then did another troop on Sunday at a Toy Show, wife was ECing the event so was kind of a given.
The fun was actually getting to walk around with my wife in costume. We were quite the bounty hunter couple.

Got around to adding fans to my helmet. This is the kit from Evil Boy. The fans are pretty quiet but there is a little hum but nothing too bad. I would rather have the air circulating.
I used double lock velcro for the battery pack to keep it in position & an industrial velcro with "T" hooks that is used for hanging things on imperfect surfaces. Evil Boy does send velcro with the kit I just opted for something I thought would be more secure.
These are all Rustoleum spray paints:
Deep Blue
Claret Wine misted with Colonial Red
Blossom White
Summer Squash misted with Striping Yellow
Metallic Aluminum
Dark Gray
Misted with Stone Gray, Dark Gray, & Flat Black for the weathering.
Finally mixed a custom reddish brown & a medium gray to use the air brush to give more it a dirtier look. I painted the whole pack the Metallic Aluminum with a coat of dull coat for the base prior to painting. The rest of the colors. Masked off all of the damage with liquid masking. These were the colors I thought looked good to me. Hope this helps.

WOW it looks killer! I always to try creating stuff with those type of files, some say its easy some say its hard, but it does seem like ALOT of work. Grats to you, looking great!
