roger12RAMJET ROTJ Hero Fett W.I.P.

Some of the new pieces / repaints I’ve been doing for my ROTJ build.

Anything not used will be up for sale when the build is done.

Close to decision time. What to keep and what to let go.

The build has been mostly fun. But now that I’m a dad I get very little time to do anything on this.

Glad it’ll be coming to an end soon.

My Clothears soft parts are ready at last. I’ve got a few days off next week and my toddler is at nursery. Hopefully I can wrap this build up and unveil what I’ve putting together for 2+ years.

I’m having a heck of a time finding the correct nylon nuts and bolts. Any chance you can share where you got yours?
I got mine from EBay. The ones Rafalfett mentions in his blueprint/template.

Annoyingly the vendor no longer has them anymore, can’t find anything like them elsewhere.

That’s exactly the problem I’m having, we have the exact measurements but I can’t find any sources for them. If anyone has had luck please chime in!

Got the armour plates mounted today. I’ll have to reorganise the plates to narrow the gap between collar and chest pieces.

Some velcro will be needed for the mid torso. Even when wearing it myself the belts slipped down like on the mannequin. The cotton is so soft.

Loads of little bits left to do.

Moved the chest parts and collar a bit today. The gaps aren’t as glaring.

My progress looks to have stalled, but I’m mainly focusing on the smaller details now.

I’ve also dabbled in many other things to save me getting bogged down on one thing.

Got a nice surprise on Instagram when Sandy commented on my jetpack. I must be doing something right.

Hey ya roger12RAMJET
It is a long journey indeed! But yours seems to be coming along nicely! The upgrades and decisions you've made are good ones in my opinion. I'm not sure who Sandy from Instagram is, but the various opinions here on the TDH are outstanding. Some may be perceived as harsh, but I think of it as constructive criticism.

It kinda reminds me of that movie "A Few Good Men" where Tom Cruise and Kevin Pollak just met Demi Moore's character for the first time. And they end the conversation like this:

Lt. Cdr. Galloway (Played by Demi Moore): "Tell your friend not to get cute down there, the Marines in Guantanamo are fanatical."
Lt. Weinberg (Played by Kevin Pollak): "About what?"
Lt. Cdr. Galloway (Played by Demi Moore): "About being Marines."

There are a ton of folks on here at TDH that are fanatical about having that perfect Fett! And that's one of the things I love about this site! Also.....for me anyway, everyone on here seems to be willing to help one another and the comradery is great!
 (y)

But yeah, you're doing a great job man! Keep it up!

Regards,
-Iron
