Kit On to give it proportion.

as the plates are connected by Big asss M52 magnets i can take off a plate hand them to people at Cons (and very easily re attach infact they are almost pulled out of my hand) Peeeps love the weight and realism of the armour plate. very cool addition to enhance the SW fans experience

Wow, metal armour would be amazing and the weight would make it feel so realistic as well. Is that a custom job of making them or is there someone that makes these?

Regards dan

Itsa custom job brutha, took me about 4 month of cooking and bashing. Not fun but worth the effort. Use WoF's templates get the alum plate cut to size n start bashing loL

Really!! Man that makes it even more impressive.

I don't own a single piece of Fett costume...actually I have a leather sling and some molex connectors from when I started buying parts to do this costume but then the Aussie dollar took a dive but would love to go down this route with plates. I want to start sourcing parts again but have no idea of the current players that are worth buying from.

Thanks mateee appreciate yr kind words. Yeah the Aussie dollar just took another hit. There is a few Aussie Fetts getting around, I think watching the Cargo Hold, and having a go a yr own painting (if u screw up just start again etc LoL), keeps cost down. Def grab a great helmet enough reading and you'll figure out who's who in the zoo. Animefan and DVS (Lou aka Darth Vorhees ) , RKD (armour) Woody (Braides, girth belts etc , Loanstar (Flightsuit n soft parts), MoW other stuff only my experiences and list not limited to this, but have and very positive experiences with for bits and pieces

Thanks for that quick rundown Hunter on some of the vendors...it's a great starting point and yeah the Aussie dollar just keeps getting worse. I just saw that I still have my old PM's when I started sourcing...at the time I was after either a Chris (Fett Pride) or Bobamaker Helmet and MOW gauntlets. Do you know if there is a Master list off all the parts for a ROTJ set-up so I know all the parts to start looking for, then I can hit the Cargo Hold and start my source list?

Regards dan

Deathproof 's RoTJ's build is the best I've seen and wud be a great guide, plus he is a supa fella

Looks amazing and very intimidating. Some great craftsmanship there. Love the idea of having real metal plates for realism and weight. Really considering doing this for my up coming custom mando build, I just don't know where to start haha. Where did you get the templates for your armour?

WoF from here for templates. I had all armour vac formed, fibreglass etc and just was obsessed with the metal, put it off for a year then hooked in.

I'm working on a Jango costume for my son right now, I have WOF 4' templet and am really considering using aluminum, would have to keep it a thinner gauge as I have to consider weight. May try to start with 1 panel first.
