Photogrammetry ROTJ Helmet WIP

Hi all. Been playing with photogrammetry a lot lately, and have managed to create a semi clear scan of the ROTJ helmet (from the exhibition photos)
This was not easy, nearly a dozen dadgum attempts, and the surface is quite bumpy (pretty unavoidable with photogrammetry, especially when using exhibit pics)

As you can see, it's great for the general shape, at least good for Dented ST, which can be converted to ROTJ, the ROTJ scratches are nowhere to be seen on this scan, which is expected. The dent didn't turn out great, but I'm confident I can sculpt an accurate one in Blender Sculpt

The neat thing is, it's textured, which really helps identify details that aren't super clear in the mesh alone, so I'm sure I can create something good out of this.
Another neat thing, the BF2015 model (also made from 3D scanning) is 1:1 scaled, so I can use that to scale my scan, as well as fill in the dome gap)

The only thing I'm not looking forward to is sculpting the scratches, which I'll be doing by hand on a resin print of the final model. It's just tricky spotting them all under the paint job, if anyone could help with that, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'll keep this thread updated as I create my sculpt.

Spent all today and yesterday painstakingly sculpting. After I got the basic mesh down, I made dozens and dozens of alterations in sculpting mode, the basic mesh took nowhere near as long as all these tweaks and alterations.
Also compiled a folder outlining all the surface scratches, so when I eventually get the resin print, I can carve the scratches precisely.

The dent was modelled primarily in mesh modelling, smoothed out and altered in sculpt mode

Cool shiny pics:

Side by side with the scan:

Both together:

The left mandible was warped outwards, so I corrected it on my sculpt, hence why the left mandible of the scan is noticeably further forward.

Ear platforms using rafelfetts ear measurements for the right ear, left ear platform is from boba87fett's measurements. (rafels left ear is quite shorter compared to the scan, b87f's lined up great)

Just realised I posted this in the costume forum and not the helmet one. I'll make a new thread when I eventually get it resin printed and or molded
