Scalps Opinion on my homemade ESB Wookiee braids / scalps

Hi friends,

I'd like to get your opinion on the braids I've made for my SE build.

Those are supposed to be ESB braids, well more precisely "the disheveled remnants of the screen-used ESB braids".

I gave up on finding a vendor for these so I thought I'd give it a shot and used Rafalfett's templates, some cheap hair extensions from Alibaba and fishing line / wax cord to hold them together.

Keep in mind that this is my first time braiding hair, or actually making any kind of prop from scratch lol

My question is - do you think they are good enough?

So while the ROTJ SE braids are constructed from the ESB braids, they are not in the same configuration, and a black braid was added to the mix.
You've done an excellent job braiding them, they look awesome. If you are really trying to nail the ROTJ SE braids, all you would have to do is re-tie them in a different configuration and add a black braid into the mix.

Here's my interpretation of the SE braids (sorry for the chaos with the lines lol )
In the front there's a black and brown braid (the brown is shorter than the black) the they are tied together with black thread in the upper section, and then the tail of the brown is merged into the lower portion of the black braid (honestly looks like electrical tape to me).
The tail portion of the black braid has decent sized red tie.

The Silver braid in the front just has a black tie on the bottom.

The skinny blonde braid loops around the rear, under the arm and then is tied to the black, brown and silver braids with red string, grouping them all together

The fatter blonde braid just hangs and can fall either to the front of the shoulder or the rear, since its just loose hanging around.

All the braids are tied together at the top of the shoulder.

In my research, I haven't seen any blue ties on the SE costume, but might be something I've missed.

I realize that by following the CRL I ended up making a classic ESB version, while the actual SE one is quite a bit different after all, I literally didn't notice the black braid, good catch! Now I wonder if I shouldn't also redo my brownish one since the shade seems a bit lighter

ESB having the black braid as well can make it confusing, lowberg did a great job explaining it.

Those look like a decent pair of ESB braids, well done! I am not super familiar with the ROTJ SE version so I can't help much there, but I just wanted to say nice job (especially for your first set!).

If I were critiquing for an ESB build I would say that the front blonde braid has just a little too much girth. Honestly though you did a great job.
