Well, it’s been a minute but I have been hard at work on my jet pack and I am close to being finished, just need to paint the symbols on and add a couple more bits and bobs.
I got my pack from Man of war and I also grabbed metal greeblies from quest designs, thanks again Irongladiator for the heads up on those!

I used grey model primer and rustoleum metallic for my two base colors, and then Tamiya rattle cans for most of the main colours, with striping yellow I had left over from my knees/shoulder bells. I mostly eye balled all of the damage for all the masking. I really wanted to make it my own as I am not looking for 501st approval on my first build and I’m pretty happy with the results.
For detailing I used several mixes of blacks/browns and a rust wash to get that worn effect.

I installed the led to the beacon as well as a magnets in the top hole and on the bottom of the missile for easy installation, it makes a sweet snap when you put it in place. I will be adding magnets to the back panel as well when I have time too. The battery for the led is installed with tough Velcro as well.

Hope to have it all finished in time for my gauntlets to arrive from bobamaker!
