Yup I know which pics you are talking about, I think lighting has lots to do with it... that and unfortunately the artists are never consistent.
I think it's key that whatever photo you use as reference is the ones you submit with your application. i.e photos with more grey to match what you did.
All I know is I didn't want to do a normal Jango, and I've since modded mine to have better chest pieces as I've always found them to be a tad too large.
I even went with a custom built board in the rf and remote servo, it really catches people by surprise.
I've always liked Cruzers colors of choice and have considered some of it or variation of for the Custom Marrow bucket I have.
