Here's the latest on this project:

This week I'll be making a start on the legs now the moulds are done, and hopefully attaching the front and back of the torso together so I can wear them ;-)

Here's today's update. I've attached the shoulder bells, and as you can see the whole thing is quite a bit wider than I am - so my arms will have to go into the bicep pieces at an angle. I have a bit more foam to add to the front of the torso so it sits forward further over the shoulders, but here are all the finished pieces so far:

Thanks all, here are a couple of shots I took today in daylight - and I've done some refitting so the torso sits further forward and slightly higher.

I also found it was much easier to take the photos while I'm not wearing it ;-) There are a few more at: http://www.xrobots.co.uk/Iron Mancostume/

Thanks guys. Here's today's update of the raw castings of the legs. They are both made from Jesmonite, as all the parts will now be, with glass fibre surface tissue and chopped strand mat laid up.

I'll be cutting them about at the top so they are lower in the middle and fit underneath the pelvis part which will be made next:

Very Nice! Its like the movie armor with a comic twist! I love customs! Anyone can make something that's already been build but it takes talent to come up with something on your own AND make it look **** good!
